Singapore Airlines undertakes comprehensive product upgrade on five Indian routes
With an aim to enhance its offerings in the Indian market, Singapore Airlines has undertaken a comprehensive product upgrade on four Indian routes- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. The airline conducted a complete up gradation – 'Enhanced Cabin Experience' of medium haul B777-200 aircraft with new cabin offerings, improvements in Economy Class, as well as introduction of new KrisWorld – the airlines in-flight entertainment system. The upgraded product was rolled out first on the Mumbai-Singapore sector on May 7, 2010 followed by the other three routes. Singapore Airlines will also introduce the 'Enhanced Cabin Experience' on Kolkata-Singapore route in October this year.
The airline is marketing the new product offering by updating key corporate clients, through travel agents and frequent flyer customer database. The airline has also marketed the new offerings by conducting road shows at popular malls in Chennai and Bengaluru. The airline operates to six Indian destinations – New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad with 48 weekly flights to Singapore.
