Mumbai international airport receives ISO certification

Mumbai International Airport Private Ltd (MIAL) has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 (Information Security Management System) certification for Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA). According to a release, the certification recognises MIAL’s efforts in preserving the confidentiality, availability and integrity of business related information, while minimizing the impact of information security incidents. 

MIAL received the certification post rigorous evaluation and audits conducted by British Standards Institute (BSI) across its various departments. The audits involved a number of specialized airport systems and processes in use handled by MIAL. 

With this certification that is globally accepted, MIAL now joins a league of world class airports who conform to industry best practices on Information Security Management Systems. Additionally, the certification will help MIAL promote awareness on secure practices and ensure controls are in place to reduce the risk of information security threats.
