Flying high: Asian Airports voted world's best

From South Korea to India, Asia's airports prove a passenger favorite, with Seoul's Incheon the winner in ACI's annual passenger survey. For the fifth year running, Seoul's Incheon airport has been voted the best airport in the world by travelers for service.

Airports in Asia made up the top five, according to global airports body Airports Council International's annual passenger survey. Singapore's Changi airport was second and Hong Kong International Airport third. Newcomers Beijing and India's Hyderabad Rajiv Ghandi International pushed out Japan's Nagoya and Canada's Nova Scotia airports. "All demonstrate that they fully understand that what pleases a passenger today becomes tomorrow’s expectation, and that to stay at the top, an airport must continuously refresh its offer and introduce new innovations that continue to delight the passenger on subsequent trips," ACI Director General Angela Gittens said in a press release.

The survey involved over 100 airports worldwide and was based on regular monthly questionnaires completed by passengers. Winners across regions were: North America, Austin (USA); Europe, Keflavik (Iceland) ; Africa, George (South Africa); Middle East, Tel Aviv (Israel); and Larin America/Caribbean, Cancun (Mexico).
