Air France introduces premium economy cabin 'Premium Voyageur' on Delhi flights
As per the company release, Premium Voyageur cabin offers 40 per cent additional space compared with Economy Class, with an average of 21 Premium Voyageur seats available over a surface area which used to occupy 40 Economy seats. Greater personal space with a fixed-shell seat which reclines to 123 degrees. The 48 cms seat width, ten cms leather armrests and 97 cms seat pitch for extra legroom offers optimum comfort. In the intermediary cabin range, Air France is the first European airline to offer a fixed-shell seat. On the comfort and entertainment side, customers benefit from the travel kit, a feather pillow and a pure new wool blanket as in Business Class.
Premium Voyageur customers also enjoy an electric plug for a laptop, a wide tray that can accommodate a laptop, an individual directional reading light, a noise-reducing headset and large individual video screen 10.4 inches wide for optimum enjoyment of the exclusive Air France 500 hours of audio and video on demand programmes. The meal service is the same as in Economy Class. At the airport, for smoother, stress-free travel, the service is inspired by the Business cabin, with priority check-in desks, boarding at passengers' convenience, priority baggage delivery and on most destinations, a baggage allowance larger than in Economy Class. An unrestricted full-fare ticket in the Premium Voyageur cabin will earn passengers 25 per cent more Flying Blue miles than with a full-fare Economy Class ticket.
Additionally, to create the buzz about Premium Voyageur, Air France has also launched an e-quiz for travel agents via www.afkl.biz, their joint trade website. Live from March 1, 2011 till April 30, 2011, the quiz is about features of Premium Voyageur, where agents have to navigate the website to look for answers. One lucky winner will get an all inclusive return ticket on Premium Voyageur on any Air France flight from India.
